Day-by-Day Highlights

Day 1 – Into the Desert: 

Begin your adventure in the morning, departing Windhoek for the breathtaking dunes of Sossusvlei. You’ll be collected from your central Windhoek accommodation (booked by you) around 8 a.m. As the city gives way to dirt roads, the ever-changing scenery unfolds before your eyes.

Stop at the iconic town of Solitaire for a comfort break and a chance to try its famous apple pie—a must-taste! Keep your eyes peeled during the drive for Namibia’s majestic national animal, the Oryx, as well as antelopes, birds, and the elusive Burchell’s Zebra.

Arriving at your lodge by late afternoon, you’ll be treated to a magical sundowner experience. Watch the sun sink below the horizon, painting the Namib Desert in hues of gold and crimson—a perfect prelude to your journey.

Day 2 – Deadvlei Dreams & Desert Adventures: 

Rise before sunrise for an unparalleled start to your day as you visit Africa’s 3rd largest park, the Namib-Naukluft. Witness the dynamic light and shadows transform the dunes as the sun ascends.

Feel the thrill of climbing one of the desert’s renowned dunes, like Big Daddy, or take a leisurely stroll to the surreal Deadvlei—a breathtaking expanse of skeletal trees surrounded by striking orange dunes. Picnic amidst this unforgettable scenery, with birds and Oryx as your occasional companions.

Continue your exploration with a visit to Sesriem Canyon, carved over two million years by the Tsauchab River. Marvel at its 30-meter-deep walls and, if you’re fortunate, pools of water at the canyon’s base.

Wrap up your day with a relaxing evening at the lodge, savoring yet another glorious desert sunset.

Day 3 – Farewell to the Sands: 

Bid the desert farewell as you retrace your steps back to Windhoek. Enjoy another stop at Solitaire to soak in its charm, and take advantage of photo opportunities as you journey through Namibia’s striking landscapes.

You’ll arrive in Windhoek by mid-afternoon, ready to share tales of your desert escapade over a delicious meal.
